Events Monthy Club Meetings

Rod

Club meetings are now held the first Wednesday of each month September through May of each year. The club meets at the Arizona Game & Fish Office at 3500 S. Lake Mary Road (map) at 7 pm. Recent meetings have included presentations on Duranglers of Durango CO., fishing in Rocky Point, and Conservation efforts in AZ.

Next Meeting

Arizona Game & Fish Office :: First Wednesday of the Month:: 7:00 pm

Mark Steffen will address the club on the State of Lees Ferry future as only Mark can present it. Mark serves on a special advisory committee to the Secretary of Interior and is the only private representative on that committee. All others are paid, do I dare use the word, lobbyists for special interests who owe their existence to Federal grants. He will discuss his role on the committee in depth.

Mark is a long time NAF member and is the owner of SteffenBros Fly Rods. He makes a great rod. If you do not own one or two of his rods, you should. I have two at this time and dream of more.

Meeting Recap

Meeting :: April 2nd

We held our regular meeting as planned but unfortunately our speaker could not make it. So as an improvised meeting we watched Equilibrium by Castaway films, a fly fishing adventure that highlights the Bristol Bay area in Alaska and how it is being threatened by Mining.
